– Governor Ortom of Benue state left APC
– New party yet to be announce
The report reaching us from Benue state about Governor Samuel Ortom is that he has dumped All Progressives Congress (APC). He made it known to the public at the government house at the state capital, Makurdi. The governor said that he has been sent out of APC and he is currently in search of a new option to actualise his future ambition.
The governor has not announced the party he will move to. He further stated that he will announce his new party soon after consulting different stakeholders. “As for party, I have been given a red card and I’m outside the pitch. So, if I have been given a red card and I’m standing outside, I’m a free man, So, I don’t know what will happen next; but I’m waiting. If approached, then I will tell the Benue people that I’m joining another football club,” he said.
He made this statement while swearing in his Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Jerome Torshimbe at the government house in Markurdi.
